Can I delete an existing column or add a new one to my Benchmark Email template?

The majority of the time, you can’t delete or add columns to Benchmark Email templates. If you need a template with two columns, simply choose a two-column template. If you only want your email to have one column, pick a one-column template. So, simply stated, you cannot add or delete columns in your Benchmark Email template.

If your template has two or more columns and you want to convert it to be a single column, here’s how you can do that (please note that this system works for many multi-column templates, but not all).

  1. Click and drag the sections you want to combine into the top or bottom area of the template. When you do this, please note that your sections will most likely stretch across the entire width of the email template.
  2. You’ll see a small area where your columns used to sit.
  3. If you want these areas to match the background color, use the global colors menu.
