How do I set up PayPal or Google Checkout payments for my tickets?
Along with Benchmark's CC Processing, you also have the option to use Paypal or Authorize.net as processors. This means that anybody purchasing a ticket can do so via paypal or through your own Authorize.net account. Please keep in mind that there are transactional charges that each processor will apply to each transaction. Ticket sales made through Paypal and Authorize.net will be distributed to you via the same processor. So if you chose Paypal as your ticket processor, you will be paid by Paypal and not by Benchmark. This may or may not result in a faster turnaround time for funds. Choosing Benchmark CC Processing, Paypal, or Authorize.net is within the Event creation process but we will highlight the step here: Log into your Benchmark Events account and create a new Event Complete the Event details then scroll down to Ticket Info Then select a payment processor between remaining tickets and currency options

What do I need to know about Credit Card processing?
Below you'll find the most common questions about Benchmark's credit card processing service: Q: If all of my ticket revenue goes through Benchmark's system, how and when do I get paid for my event? A: Benchmark will issue payment to you 5 days after your event has ended. You may choose to be paid via check (which is mailed to you), bank transfer (either through a free ACH process that can take up to 3 days to complete or through an immediate wire transfer with an added cost of $40) or PayPal (completes within 24 hours and is subject to normal PayPal service fees). Q: What is the cost associated with Benchmark's credit card processor? A: The Service Fee breakdown is as follows: Benchmark's fee is 2% plus $0.75 per ticket. Our fees are capped and we do not charge past $8.00 per ticket. Credit card processing fees add 3% to the total cost. Thus, total processing fees for a ticket equal 5% of the ticket order plus $0.75. To illustrate how this affects the cost of an order, an example is provided below. A ticket buyer wishes to purchase 4 tickets at $25/each 4 Tickets = $100 Benchmark Fees are 2% ($100 x 2% = $2) Credit Card Fees are 3% ($100 x 3% = $3) $0.75 per ticket = $0.75 x 4 tickets = $3.00 $100 + $2 + $3 + $3.00 = $108.00 Note: Benchmark's credit card processing gives you the option to absorb fees into the ticket price or pass the cost along to the purchaser (for more information, click here) Q: How soon will I get paid after an event? A: For all payments, Benchmark begins the payment process five business days after your event has ended. For example, if your event ends on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, Benchmark remits payment on the following Friday. If your event ends on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, Benchmark sends payment on the following Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. In addition to the five business days, delivery depends on the payment method you choose (check, ACH bank transfer or PayPal). Check payments are sent via post on the 5th business day after your event ends, so wait time is simply the time it takes for you to receive the check by mail. Free ACH bank transfers require 3 days to complete (in addition to the 5 day wait period). PayPal payments typically post within 24 hours but are subject to PayPal fees. Q: How does Benchmark Events handle refund requests? A: The responsibility of refunding ticket purchases are with the Event Organizer/Host. Click here. Q: If ticket sales for my event have already begun, can I change the event's payment processor or ticket prices? A: If you have already received ticket purchases for an event, then the payment processing method is locked; the same goes for ticket prices. However, if no tickets have been sold for the event, both details can be changed. For complete instructions on how to refund tickets or orders, click here.

When do I get paid?
Benchmark will issue payment for your event 5 days after is has completed. You can choose to be paid by check, bank transfer or Paypal. Note that Benchmark reserves the right to refuse to disburse the proceeds from Event ticket sales if the Event has been canceled. In the event of an Event cancelation, it is the responsibility of the Event Organizer to refund ticket sales. However, Benchmark may determine that it is more appropriate for us to refund ticket sales in some cases. In such cases, funds will not be disbursed to the Event Organizer and will, instead, be directly refunded to the ticket purchasers.
