What Is DMARC and How Is It Affecting Me?

DMARC is a Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance. A rule that works with SPF and DKIM to confirm the authentication from an email message. Both SPF and DKIM must fail for Dmarc to take action.

DMARC is a way for email providers like Yahoo and AOL to authenticate emails that are using their addresses. Yahoo and AOL have do not authenticate emails that are sent with their addresses ( and, using a third party service such as Benchmark Email.

As a solution, Benchmark will now convert Yahoo and AOL email addresses to:

This way we can ensure that your email is successfully sent and delivered to its intended recipient.

Although we have policies in place that allow you to send from a public domain, we do not recommend it. We highly suggest you send all your email marketing communication via a private domain with SPF and CName in place.
