How To Send an Email to Newly Added Contacts

Automation Lite Automation Pro Updated on October 28, 2021

If you want to send a welcome email to your recently added subscribers, there are a few different ways you can do this. One option is using Automation Lite, and another is using Automation Pro.

Automation Lite

With Automation Lite, you can set up automations based on the following.

When a contact is added to a list. Send immediately or delay sending by several days from the time a subscriber has been added to your list. If you choose to send immediately, all contacts who have been added to your list within the last 24 hours before activating your automation will also receive this email.

Birthday, Anniversary, and other annual emails. Send annual messages based on a date field from your list details.

Timed emails based on an exact date. Send emails on an exact date, or any number of days before or after a specified date, based on a field in your contact list.

Aside from adding contacts via a signup form, manually, or through an integration, you can add contacts using our APIs. The API method POST Add Contact adds contacts to a specified list in your benchmark email account. We recommend only experienced API users practice this method.
