How do I set up PayPal or Google Checkout payments for my tickets?
Benchmark will issue payment for your event 5 days after it has completed. You can choose to be paid by check, bank transfer or PayPal. Note that Benchmark will only issue payment for funds collected by credit card. Funds collected through PayPal or Google Checkout will be paid by those services. They are not administered by the Benchmark system and will not be paid by Benchmark. Also, fund collection from offline sales are administered solely by the Event Organizer. Thus, it is the sole responsibility of the Event Organizer to collect those funds. Benchmark is not responsible for collecting or disbursing funds processed through offline sales. First, make sure that you have created your Event and that it is Live. Then: Click on My Events to navigate to the Events Dashboard. Click on the Event for which you would like to set up your payment. From the Manage tab, click on the Edit Payment Option button. This button will take you to the Payment Options page. Below the Payment Options page label, you will find a window that contains the text "Receive funds from your ticket sales." Directly below that text, find the dropdown menu labeled Select Payment Processor. Simply select PayPal or Google Checkout and your registrants will be able to purchase tickets for your Event using one of these services. Click Save Changes and you're done.

What are the Fee-handling options available in Benchmark Events?
How fees are handled depends on which method you choose to collect your ticket payments. If You Choose Benchmark's Credit Card Processing Service: Credit card processing is the fastest way for your customers to purchase tickets. Credit Card processing is selected on the Manage page for your event. For information on how to select payment processing, click here. If you select Benchmark's credit card processing, you can choose to absorb the Benchmark Service Fee or you can pass that charge along to your ticket purchasers. This is selectable by navigating to the Details for the Event in question. Immediately after activating your event and choosing Benchmark's credit card processing service, navigate to the Details page for your event. First, go to the My Events page by clicking on the My Events button in your Events account. On the Events Dashboard, find the Event you wish to edit the fee options for and click on the Event Name to arrive at the Manage page for that event. Click on the Details tab to navigate to the Details page. On the Details page, scroll down to the Ticket Info window. In this window, you will find a setting for Online Processing Fees with the options of Paid By Buyer and Paid By Me. Paid By Buyer vs. Paid By Me Selecting Paid By Buyer will cause the fees to be added to the ticket price that you have specified. For example, for a selected ticket price of $25, the Paid By Buyer option will add the Benchmark Service Fee of $2.24 for a total purchase amount of $27.24 per ticket. If you select Paid By Me, the ticket buyer will pay the $25 ticket price and you will absorb the service fee (i.e. for a $25 ticket, you will receive $22.76). Note: If the Online Processing Fees control is not present on the page, you may not have selected Credit Card Processing on the Payment Options page for your event. If You Choose PayPal or Google Payment: The Online Processing Fees control will not appear for your event. Benchmark does not charge a service fee for PayPal or Google payment options, but PayPal and Google will subtract their service fees from any payments due from event's ticket sales (these service fees are subject to change by PayPal and Google and are not determined by Benchmark).

When do I get paid?
Benchmark will issue payment for your event 5 days after is has completed. You can choose to be paid by check, bank transfer or Paypal. Note that Benchmark reserves the right to refuse to disburse the proceeds from Event ticket sales if the Event has been canceled. In the event of an Event cancelation, it is the responsibility of the Event Organizer to refund ticket sales. However, Benchmark may determine that it is more appropriate for us to refund ticket sales in some cases. In such cases, funds will not be disbursed to the Event Organizer and will, instead, be directly refunded to the ticket purchasers.
