Will segmented lists affect how many subscribers I have?
Segments do not influence your total subscriber count. When you create a segment, you are not creating a new list, you are creating a division of your main list or your contact actions such as bounces or forwards. Think of segments as saved searches. They are based on criteria such as fields or subscription dates. Segments are automatically updated as contacts meet your criteria.

How Do I Delete a Segment?
If you have created a Segment that you no longer need and don’t want to view it on your Segments list page, you have the option to delete it. Follow these steps to delete a Segment: Log in to your Benchmark account. Click on Contacts from the Dashboard menu. Select Segments. Locate the Segment you would like to delete and select the More options icon next to the Segment name.

A segment is a saved search. It helps you target a portion of your contacts that meet a specific criterion such as a subscriber field or subscription date. When you create your segment, you will select a target list to segment, and add some criteria. Each criterion consists of a field, a comparison, and a value. Why are there no contacts in my segment?
If you've created a segment for your contact list, however it is showing 0 contacts, it can be due to a variety of things. First check to see that your criteria is correct, that spelling for your contact's information is correct.
