How do I enable JavaScript in my browser on a Mac?

JavaScript is what allows the features of Benchmark Email to function correctly. Therefore, please follow these steps to ensure that you have it enabled in your web browser to guarantee the best possible performance and experience with Benchmark Email:

Safari 4 & 5

  1. Open the Safari application by clicking on the icon in the Dock.
  2. Go to the Safari menu at the top and select Preferences.
  3. Click on the Security tab at the top of the Preferences window.
  4. Check the box next to Enable JavaScript.
  5. Close the Preferences window to save the settings.
Firefox 3.6+
  1. Open the Firefox application by clicking on the icon in the Dock.
  2. Go to the Firefox menu at the top and select Preferences.
  3. Go to the Content tab at the top of the Preferences window.
  4. Check the box next to Enable JavaScript.
  5. Close the Preferences window to save the settings.
Chrome 7
  1. Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Click the Under the Hood tab.
  4. Click Content Settings in the Privacy section.
  5. Click JavaScript.
  6. Check Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended).
  7. Click Close and then click Close again.
Note: If Benchmark Email is still not working after you have made these changes, it may be that your firewall does not allow any JavaScript commands to be passed. This will prevent the pop-up windows from working. If this is the case, you will need to ask your Network Administrator.
