Are Windows Mail and Windows Live Different?

Windows Mail and Windows Live are just a tad bit different from each other. Both serve the same purpose however each have their own benefits have. Here are the differences:

Windows Live is another name for Hotmail. Hotmail was acquired by Microsoft in 1997 to provide a free email service to it’s users. Instead of erasing Hotmail, Microsoft opened another door and called it Windows Live.

Windows Mail is a program that came with Windows Vista. This took the place of Outlook as the default email program on Vista. Windows Mail was compatible with QuickImport as well as Windows Live/Hotmail was not.
