Can I attach files to my email campaigns or landing pages?
The straight answer is no. You can not add attachments to your Benchmark Email campaigns or landing pages. However, you can add documents in the form of links in your emails and this is quickly done using our Document Gallery.
Here are a few reasons why we don’t allow attachments:
- Firewalls and security software can prevent bulk email containing attachments from being delivered.
- Emails containing attachments can be flagged as spam.
- Your recipient may be suspicious of emails containing attachments, as many viruses are spread in the form of attachments.
- Attachments add to the email size. Your recipients may not appreciate this as these emails may clog up the space allocated to the email account of the user.

SIGNUP FORMS
Perhaps you want to use signup forms to encourage visitors not just for subscription, also for downloading ebooks, guides, or other resources like the following example:
To do so, you will have to use a custom thank you landing page to redirect visitors when they click on the DOWNLOAD button.
- First things first, create a thank you landing page where the document will be attached. You can use any of the different blocks mentioned above to attach the document.
- Once done, get the URL from the landing page you will use as a thank you page (where the file is attached). To do so, the landing page should be active.
- Now you will have to create a new signup form or select an existing one.
- In the step 2 Design from the form you will use, click on the opt-in settings button.
- In the Confirmation Settings, select Double Opt-In OR Single Opt-in.
- Scroll down and select the Custom “Thank You” page in the Page Settings.
- Now, paste the landing page URL where your file is in the box below.
- Click on Save to finish, then, Save & Publish and Confirm.
Consider you can add your signup form into a Landing page or as a link in an email campaign or use it outside of Benchmark Email.
Cons of this process: Visitors who want to get the file, will have to click twice. Once in the Signup form, and then on the thank page to download.
Pros: If you choose Double Opt-In you will have a list of the visitors who click to get the link. And, those visitors as they confirm their interest becomes a double-opt in subscribers. Also, using this method you can get more information from new subscribers due to they will fill the fields to get the file.
