Survey Reports

Survey reports are available once the survey is active. You can view overall results, individual results, or detailed results.

Things to know before getting started

  • If you cannot view your survey results, ensure your survey is active and your contacts have the correct survey URL.
  • A survey that was previously deactivated and then deleted will not show results.

To view your survey results:

Option 1
  1. Log in to your Benchmark account.
  2. On the Dashboard menu, click on Reports and select Survey Reports.
  3. On the next page, click on the name of your survey.
Option 2
  1. Log in to your Benchmark account.
  2. On the Dashboard menu, select Contacts and then click on Surveys.
  3. Locate the active Survey and click on the More options icon and from the drop-down menu select View Report.

There are 3 types of survey results:

  • Overall Results
  • Individual Results
  • Detailed Results

Survey Reports help you understand your audience and can create engagement to have better success in the future.

How to Export my Survey Results

You can save, download or print your survey results. Additionally, individual results can be saved as a contact list in your account, click here to skip to see the steps.

Overall Results

This report will show you all the questions in your survey with the number of responses and the answer ratio. You can download it as a PDF or print this report by clicking on the More Options icon.

Individual Results

Use the individual result report to see the responses of each participant. By clicking on the More Options icon you save the results as a list or download them as an Excel or CSV file.

To save the individual results, click on the More Options icon and select the Save as List option. Using the save as a list option will create a new list with the email addresses of the survey respondents into your Benchmark account.

When you click on this option in the Individual Results report, you will see the following message:

You have now saved your respondents to a list!


To see the list you created go back to the main dashboard and select the Contacts option and then click on Contacts, your new list will be listed there.

If you are interested in seeing a specific response click on the Survey Responses option next to the corresponding email address.

You can also download individual responses as a PDF or print.

Detailed Results

The detailed report will show you the questions in the header with the complete answer of every respondent. You can also download them as an Excel file or Print by clicking on the More Options icon.
